I received a text saying someone needed roof work done, I asked who was I speaking to? And they responded “no one at the moment but if you call you will be speaking to Bud Thompson!

So I called ... a representative named mike answers .. unconcerned with my questions .. I told him why I was calling and was told I would be speaking to a bud thompson.

He proceeded sarcastic and said “ well I’m not going to go back and forth with you , I said my name is mike!” So I said ok mike is this a company? He responded yes , 4 star .. I said so who is Bud? He got mad and hung up!

If this is a real company whoever mike is needs to be terminated!

Now all the contractors I’m in touch with will know not to engage with 4star! Smh

They texted as a customer and then when I responded they tried to sell me on their lead service. They seemed nice, if a bit pushy.

I finally gave in. They told me that I would not receive leads until I filled out a profile on their website and that most customers never do and that is why they have bad reviews. So I make sure to try and do that. I start my account, no problem.

Then try to log in and create a profile. Bad password it says. Hmm. Reset it, same thing again.

Let's try to call customer support, this should be an easy fix. The number is disconnected.

There are plenty of marketers who at least try to sell something real. I guess these guys think it is cheaper to just take the cash on run.

Tried to forge a check on my bank account had to close account and contact FBI. I suggest all of you do the same.

They are conducting an investigation now. Soon they will all be doing time.

Suggest plenty of vasoline cause *** like you get what they deserve. paid the 168 set up fee, and worked with the program to set up a profile, and everyone seemed so friendly when they are trying to get you to sign up, but after a month with the program, and no leads its just the opposite. Now i cant get anyone on the phone, and no one will respond to emails at all, the facebook page can no longer be found?

It seems like its all a scam now. I am beyond un-happy with this service!

not only will they not acknowledge my cancel request, but now no one will respond to anything! This is the worst support service i have ever came across.

Blind texts go out. Over n over.

Immediately get a LOCAL NUMBER CALL FROM THEM TELLING ME TO *** MYSELF. Bad

Lol, sent me a text like a customer would, then when i said i would call back after i finished my lunch, some dude called me. I told them i wasn't interested in their lead service and he threatened me with my business inevitably slowing down.

It's no wonder their reviews are terrible. He's a disrespectful little man.

I am a small Electrical contractor in Cecil County MD who was contacted by 4 Star Sales And Marketing and was offered the prefferd contractor agreement for $5000.00 in return I would receive aleast $150,000.00 worth of work in a years time or your money back if they didn't get you that much work. Which they would put in writing.

Well a year has passed and so far I have landed one job that was for $350.00 gross. So I tried to contact them buy phone after my year was up and no one answers the phone just a messeage to tell you you must contact them by email. So I did and asked for my money back because the didn't fullfill there end of the contract. The day after I submitted my email and I was contacted by the same guy who sold the contract to me.

He now works for another company that supposedly feeds 4 Star with contractor leads. Gave this story about why he left them because they where taking advantage of the contractors. Then he said he might be able to help with this new company he works for Contractor Website Services but he would have to talk to his boss. So I asked who he was.

His Name is Dave Johnson and he is the CEO of that company. So I became suspicious and decided to do a little reshearch and found out that he is the owner of 4 Star too and many other lead service sites.

These guys need to be shut down and be put in jail for taking advantage of small businesses and pay the contractors what they are owed. I have contacted a lawyer to see about filing a class action lawsuit because I feel that if it it just one contractor filing we will be ignored but if we band together we might be able to show a pattern of neglect and crimminal activity.      

4 star sales and marketing… Is a criminal operation… And the owner should be thrown in jail

They are only interested in getting your bank account information and stealing your money… They will not provide you leads

I received a call from Isaac late Friday afternoon. To begin, he presented himself like a customer.

When I got into the conversation further with him, he said his company was similar to HomeAdvisor. I was driving at the time, so I told him to send me an email with his company info and I'd look it over. I received his email that evening and looked up his company online. Several complaints against him & the company.

I sent a polite email saying I wasn't interested in their services. Monday morning, I received a call from Isaac. He went into his sales pitch, and I told him I sent him an email stating that I wasn't interested. That was it!

I made no mention of their bad reviews or anything. He instantly gets angry and says, "What's with the attitude? You *** SUCKER, MOTHER ***!" He then hung up on me. It was totally unexpected, as I never raised my voice or said anything to illicit this kind of response.

Beware of this guy and his company.

There's a lot of complaints for a reason.

These guys claim to provide a lead service for contractors, they just want access to your bank account. Don't do it they will draft on your account even after you cancel your contract with them.

It is a shame when criminals can get away with this and the laws are put in place to protect them.

I close all my business accounts, and that stopped that nonsense, now I have an affiliate debt collector trying to bilk me too, good luck with that. I never signed anything with them...

I was contacted by 4Star Sales and Marketing several months ago reference a great chance to be listed as a Contractor in their database for the low low price of $136.00. I went ahead and signed up as this is not the sort of Advertising investment that is going to cause a profit and loss crisis if it doesn't pan out. I paid the money and for months heard NOTHING from this Company.

I was contacted again a few weeks ago by someone working in the "field" in my area and they were looking for a Contractor to take on about $125,000.00 worth of work in my area. I asked where the work was and of course that was info not able to be divulged. I also asked how they ascertained the value of the work if they had received no bids on it to date.....skepticism rising.....I was then contacted by a "Field Supervisor" that offered me a fantastic chance to get hired by them to take on all these projects. All that I needed to do was provide them with a payment of $5,000.00 to secure this work. I had to make a decision TODAY since they were "interviewing" six or seven Companies that afternoon. They were also going to do a "free" background check on my Company to make sure I did "good work". Sounds legit....yeah right.....skepticism up another notch...

I was told that they would send me a BBB link in Email to show how "legit" they are. Well they have 20 complaints as of the date of this review. That "wasn't bad" according to their salesman. They have been around since 2006 and have mustered 20 complaints. My Company has been around for 20 years and to date has ZERO complaints with the BBB. I am not sure how 20 complaints is a record to boast about.......

The salesman / supervisor also went on a long winded account of how they are not a scam operation because they are located in Vegas and they have more law enforcement there per capita than any place on earth. I was thinking how I have never had to explain to one of my customers why I am NOT a fraud in the sales process. That told me everything right there but I was curious since this was such a "great opportunity" so...... I did a "free" background check on THEIR Company....

I searched the net and found hundreds of complaints on these sites. I made several calls to people that left their contact info on some of them. All of them told me the exact same thing RUN RUN RUN from this Company. We are in the business of building our Companies through hard work and scrupulous business practices. If something sounds to good to be true..... you know it is! The amazing thing to me is all that one has to do is enter "4 Stars Sales and Marketing" in Google and it will tell you everything you need to know about why sending them a Check may not be a good idea. Diligence my friends.

These guys are flat out criminals trying to gain access to your bank account so they can auto draft money with out offering any service what so ever. I cancelled within a few days and got my money back .

But a year later they are auto drafting my account again. So I shut it down . Next thing I know they have a similar criminal like collection guy harassing me . Steve Roberts of RAB, Inc.

Saying they have been trying to contact me through email and phone calls for the last nine months.

Yet I never received one phone call or one email until his. Very bogus in criminal like !!!

Criminals. We signed up for a trial month recieved nothing what so ever, so weelected to terminate our relationship with this company.

Several attempts on our bank account to draft 199.00 were thwarted.

Now 4 years later they are trying to submit a fake draft again. Closed account and headed to the police department file criminal charges..
